Greetings from the Comancheria:

We are still getting rain. The month has been perfect for wildlife production. God has blessed us with rain and sunshine to grow the forbs and insects that produce wildlife.

Quail are in the brood raising mode and multiple hatches are very likely. I am predicting a really good season this fall.

The deer are growing some really good antlers. I saw one about ten days ago that would score in the 150's and he is still growing. I was very close—not more than 20 feet—so I got a very good look at a ten point buck in the velvet. The bad part, it was a close call over the hood of my pickup.

Waterfowl hunting is going to be great. Teal and shoveler ducklings are almost grown and flying. The lakes are all full and creeks are running.

Give me a call at 806-348-7082 when you have decided on your hunt dates and we'll put your name on the calendar.

Thanks for your time,

Don Stuckey

Until next time,
D. Stuckey
