Birding and nature photography is a new requested service has been added to Comancheria. Three permanent blinds capable of holding two people and their equipment have been constructed from weather proof materials. These blinds are designed so they can be heated and enjoyed throughout the year.
There are unique photographic opportunities available at different times during the year. Expect to see a diversity of bird species and a number of native plants, animals, reptiles, and insects. Feeders and water sources are at each location to allow visitors to get close to the birds. The feeders are located near a flowing creek which is heavily wooded, creating a magnet for birds and native wildlife. Photographers can capture birds and wildlife as they wander in for refreshments. Wildflowers and butterflies are plentiful. This is also the pathway for many migrating birds. Lodging for overnight guests can be arranged at a local bed and breakfast.
